for Young Adults

Aspire provides unique and engaging programs and services to help prepare young adults for their future careers. We use a collaborative approach to our program design, partnering with government, education, non-profit and industry partners, in order to offer diverse career exploration opportunities.

Young Adult Career Initiative

The Young Adult Career Initiative prepares Burlington County out-of-school young adults, ages 16-24 to reach their educational and career goals.  This no-cost program provides mentorship and training to get, keep, and succeed in a career. We can help you:

  • Find rewarding employment
  • Enroll in a training certification program or college
  • Enlist in the military
  • Enroll in a high school equivalency diploma program

You are eligible for our program if you are a 16-24 year old Burlington County resident, not currently enrolled in school (high school or college) and have any one of the following challenges:

  • High school drop out
  • Pregnant or parenting
  • Juvenile justice or criminal justice involved
  • Low income
  • Have a physical, mental health, or learning disability
  • Involved in the foster care system (runaway/homeless/foster child)
  • High school graduate unemployed/underemployed & low income

Young Parents Career Empowerment Program

The Young Parents Career Empowerment Program is available to out-of-school parents, ages 16-24, living in Burlington and Camden County, who are pregnant or parenting. The program provides a variety of services to reduce barriers and empower young parents to achieve their career goals. Participants attend cohort style workshops to develop the skills needed to be successful in the workplace, while discovering their career interests. We also share strategies to balance the multiple demands of being a young working parent.

Next Stop Career

Prepares young adults (16-21) enrolled in the local Care Management Organization (CMO) for their future through exposure to in-demand industries and training on the skills necessary for employment.  The program consists of career-readiness training on personal strengths, career assessment, and soft skills training on topics such as attitude, professionalism and communication, as well as resume development and interview skill building.  Participants also attend a series of employer tours speaking with human resources and employees to learn about career pathways in various industries and training needs for growth and advancement.  Participants complete service projects to practice soft skills and develop leadership skills.
