The Training & Apprenticeships for Careers in Construction (TACC) Program prepares individuals for careers in the construction and utilities industries through structured pre-apprenticeship training and direct industry connections.

TACC is open to individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels, providing a clear pathway into Registered Apprenticeships, full-time employment, or continued industry-focused training—at no cost to participants.

Participants receive individualized support every step of the way, including:

  • Industry-recognized training and credentials
  • Career coaching and case management
  • Professional attire and equipment
  • Job placement assistance
  • Direct employer introductions
  • Transportation assistance, childcare referrals, and other support, as needed
  • Mental health resources and peer support

Industry-Driven Training

Participants complete pre-apprenticeship training, facilitated by Aspire in partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors of New Jersey (ABC-NJ).

Program details include:

  • Hands on training program in new 106,000-square-foot training facility designed to provide comprehensive, trade-specific training for participants
  • Nationally recognized CORE training credential and OSHA certification
  • Mock roadway and Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) simulators and integrated virtual reality training
  • Workplace readiness and professional development, including resume and interview support
